Thankyou Marianna

Hi Marianna
Have been anxiously awaiting your musings. I fully understand your hesitation in posting on the BB. I will never understand how obnoxious some people can be.
Am very sorry to hear of your friend's loss. I'm sure we all know how draining that can be. You hurt yourself when a loved one/friend is suffering.
As for the show. I have come to the conclusion that it is totally scripted. People leaving/returning, all to add interest and suspense.
You have to wonder if the final players receive money. I find it difficult to believe that any sensible, sensitive person would expose themselves to so much humiliation without some sort of reward. Possibly, it's just for the opportunity of 15 minutes of fame.
Try to keep cool.
S

  1. Hey, S!

Thanks for the kind words. A remembrance that death is part of life...

After reading Chris Harrison's latest interview, I'm not sure that this was scripted; I think that producers try to convince contestants to do certain things a certain way and, in some cases, they force them (for example, buying a ring). However, everything I've seen leads me to believe that Reid came back of his own volition. Not so sure about Ed, though, since I have never really trusted what I saw of him (I'm willing to concede he's just camera-shy) and in the latest interviews of Jillian and him, he seems often to be either disinterested or belittling her in a gentle, yet obvious way. This could just be his manner, though; I'll try to keep an open mind.

Also, two inconsistencies which bother me:

    1. Why did Jillian say that, since the show wrapped, they had continually been together except for 5 days and then, subsequently, she said that they were together for 5 days every 2 weeks?

    2. Why did Ed say they planned to marry within a year and then, the next day practically, he changed that to a year and a half or so?

Jillian appears to have moved into Ed's loft already. She did a phone interview from Chicago, during which she said that Ed had to go to a meeting, so she was alone and had already combed his apartment for 'evidence'. I'm pretty sure she said it jokingly but I got the feeling that she had actually done that. Wonder if she questions his past at all... Why are these 'girlfriend' rumours not dying down? Why do former contestants (Jeremy and Trista, for example) seem to believe that Ed is 'a pig'?

    Rambling recognized and resolved.

    M.

  2. Thank you also Marianna.
This is awesome & I was wondering how people wanting to share thoughts on what they saw & gain some friendships would ever be able to communicate.
I am so excited & do have much to say & after reading many of the comments here now feel comfortable in my own beliefs that I am not alone & my intuitions are very similar as others & I was not seeing things.
I need to get my bearings here & continue reading so I can respond properly.
Again thank you for a safe & constructive safe place to communicate. Well done.

  3. Dear Free,

You found your way in :-) Yes, isn't this just a FAB place? It is comforting to know that so many saw a lot of the same things on this Bachelorette season regarding Reid and Jillian. But we have a few members of the blog that put out convincing arguments about the positive aspects of Ed, as well.

That's what makes this place special: it provokes us all to think about others' viewpoints, accept their right to have them, and hopefully grow a little more each time, ourselves.

We look forward to hearing more from you :-)
