SIX IN THE CITY
Six bachelors go to New York City to watch Roberto hoist Ali up on a high wire and wrap himself around her.
THE LOIN KING
In an unabashed attempt at getting more female (and no doubt some male -- it IS a Broadway show, after all) viewers swooning, the producers have Roberto clad in a fancy loincloth and not much else.
Can you feel his love tonight?
SOMEWHERE, OVER THE RAINBOW
Ali gets acquainted with Chris L.'s parents. Thanks to rainbows and AT&T, he is never too far from mom and dad. Ali hears about wonderful mom and speaks to dad. She is is utterly charmed and touched by the whole family and Chris's chance at F1 just gets better and better.
A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
There Fleiss goes, blatantly ripping off movie scenes again.
Kasey and Ali have a one-on-one date at the American Museum of Natural History. Kasey is so cringingly cheesy that he is one American who will soon naturally be history.
LOVE SICK
Ali must have a propensity to lose her voice when she gets sick. Remember her hoarse whisper as she presented Jake with a peacock feather at the Meet & Greet?
Despite Ali's contagious condition, Frank, Kirk and Chris L. are eager to kiss her, hug her, lie in bed with her and bring her soup. Caution is thrown to the wind and there is much exchanging of germy saliva.
A new virus, the F1N1, (also known as the 'swoon flu') is propagated.
UNICORN LOVE
Chris L. tells Ali the story of a land where Cupid rides a unicorn through fields of flowers, brandishing a sword and a rose and stone-encrusted shield. If we listen carefully, we can hear the chirping of Tenley Molzahn and the bluebirds of happiness. Cute Disney mice freely roam Bachelor mansions and scamper through the fields with the unicorns.
It's a beautiful place. Kasey lives here.
CAPTAIN KIRK
Kirk boldly goes where no man has gone before (this early in the game, anyway). This will now be the second time he and Ali are in or near a bed together.
Last week, he maximized his rolling-around-in-bed time with Ali, even after the director yelled cut. This week, he adroitly escorts an ill Ali to her suite and manages to tuck her into bed (but not before lots of cuddling and caressing).
KRAZY KASEY?
Either Mike Fleiss has outdone himself with editing and provoking the contestants or we really need someone to guard and protect Kasey from himself.
From his bizarre and untimely bouts of singing to his wrist tattoo representing Ali and the eleven remaining men (because she's his true love and the men are his blood brothers for life), Kasey wins the prize for most Krazy Kontestant ever.
GOING TO THE DOGS
Country boy Jesse is rejected by city girl Ali. She chooses Kasey over him and he bounds home happily to his dogs.
ALI MAY BE UNDER THE WEATHER BUT SHE'S OVER THE WEATHERMAN
There is a distinct chill in the air as Ali says goodbye to the weatherman. A possible storm was brewing as Jonathan's face clouded over and there appeared to be a slight chance of precipitation. However, he put up strong front and left, dry-eyed.
The skies are sunny again as the remaining bachelors discover they are next going to Iceland.

Applause to Marianna - The muse has mused! I'm not kidding--your posts are the most fun to read, and a big part of why I continue to watch is to be able to follow your Musings and possibly contribute. Nothing serious this time . . .
ReplyDeleteIf I were going to get a tattoo to commemorate this season, it would be the dramatic masks of tragedy and comedy.
And then I might put on a little stage revue to entertain my friends and family. I would first Send in the Clowns, and then regale them with the Music of the Night.
After I become totally frustrated with Kasey, I would decide I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, but darn, I can't bring myself to send him on his way.
I'd have to explain to the clowns that A Person Can Develop A Cold, but if I get enough rest, it will soon be Oh! What A Beautiful Morning. Then we can continue Getting to Know You. It was really nice of Kirk to tell me You'll Never Walk Alone to your suite.
Oh, well, even if I have to stay in my room and eat chicken soup, it will be Some Enchanted Evening with Chris, while all the clowns are standing around wishing that Luck Be A Lady tonight.
In the end, for most of them it'll be Everything's Coming Up Roses, as I determine to do things On My Own, and being good travelers is All I Ask Of You.
P.S Sorry to mess up the tenses so badly.
LOVE THAT YOU ARE BACK HERE! Hey wherever you post I will follow! I've missed everyone posting on RP anyway!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of restarting the JB tour, although this bachelor pad thing has stolen my thunder a bit. (NOT Jonas Brother's tour- Jilted Bachelors!) They have picked some pretty hideous contestants IMO.
I will need Leen's assistance but we will get a good list of viable candidates.
Hi Marrianna! I'm soo happy to be able to continue to follow you online. Your musings rock!
ReplyDeletehello M and friends,
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while... again. As the solstice comes around, we gather once more to observe the season of puzzling and oddly intriguing mating habits of the young, north american, celebrity wannabe.
Marianna, F1N1 Swoon flu is so brilliant! Unicorn Love too.
Jim can you take Unicorn Love as a theme and perhaps create the next craze to replace Twilight and vampires? Can you imagine a whole new genre: the RealityFantasy Show - wow!!
Oh sorry, Roberto Montalban already did that on an island back in the 70's. Maybe Hobbit Bachelors and Elf Bachelorettes? Throw in a few fire breathing dragons, evil magicians and damsels in distress. The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? Contestants start by either getting a makeover of their wardrobe or coming out of the closet. I don't believe I've seen any BB Postings yet suggesting there ought to be a gay version of the show. It's got potential don't cha think?
Were there unicorns in Tolkein? I don't think there was any swine flu either... Ah, no matter, don't worry about mixed signals in reality fantasy. Everything goes. You could end up dancing on a star.
All the contestants can be whoever they fantasize they'd like to be, as long as the producers think it will work with their script...
Hmm, It's Complicated isn't it? Which reminds me that many have posted about having an older persons version of the show. Being in that 'older' category, I would like to see it. Cause no matter how unreal this reality show is, romance always will be the real attraction.
Ha ha, I see I have made a Freudian slip and typed Roberto Montalban, when it's Ricardo.
ReplyDeleteCheck out this link:

Ricardo..... Roberto. If Roberto is aiming to create a 'showbiz' career for himself and is perhaps not really "there for the right reasons", I am going on record as saying I'm ok with that. I hope to see much more of him!
I honestly think that the show has gotten to the point where they had already chosen him to be the next bachelor before Ali's season even started. They are all role playing. Some maybe just don't realize it.
Hi everyone!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you on here! Hope more come to join us.
Ann, your post about Unicorn Love was hilarious. Jim, when you read this, please run with Ann's idea. It's got real potential.
I agree that they have already chosen the next bachelor -- just like they had chosen Ali before Jake's fake rejection of her.
I think it'll be Roberto -- I feel it in my bones. (And in my loins, lol)
Speaking of the Roberto/Ricardo slip, I must admit that I too thought of Fantasy Island and Tatoo (Boss, zeee plane, zeee plane!) when I was thinking about Kasey's tatoo and his obvious permanent residence on Fantasy Island.
Funniest line this week from my friend Ugh on the BB: "Guffaw Guard and Protect".
Hugs to you all,
M.
Welcome, Belle and honeybeegirl!! So glad you're here!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing more from you both.
M.
Marianna, thanks for the shout out about the new advertising slogan for the Guffaw Guard. Who knew when that was invented last year that such a terrific opportunity would arise to advertise it? Okay, I'll be honest. I put Kasey up to the "guard and protect" line and he's been using it all season to help Guffaw Guard sales. It's a set up like just about everything else! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Ugh,
ReplyDeleteDo you think you could come up with a Guffaw Guard patterned with the shield from Kasey's tattoo? It would really help tie it all together.
M.
YAY! Koala and Leen are going to start up a DH thread here.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait!
M.
Fabulous! We have musings once again. I apologize for arriving to the party late, but I was out of town until Thursday night.
ReplyDeleteDecoGirl, you (and Chris L) have a great idea there in Unicorn Love. I'll get right on it. I was thrilled with him when he said that. It not only summed up Kasey well, it harkened to many unicorn references in the Musings and related threads. Perhaps he reads them. I wondered about the usage of Roberto Montalban. Roberto does not seem like a Mr. Rork type.
I find Kasey fascinating. Who fixates on an expression like "guard and protect your heart"? It's as if he's trying to become a cliché but I don't think he is.
ReplyDeleteThe gears in his head turn in a different way then I'm used to. When Ali tells him that his words don't come off as sincere, his response is to get a totem tattoo? Who would think to do that? Why not a tattoo of "Ali + Kasey Forever"? The most positive thing Ali can say about him is that he is fun when he startles her in the dark and makes monkey sounds. I wonder if Michelle from Jake's season is available.
I tried to like Jonathan but it got harder with each episode. He's like the nerd who’s imaginary alter ego does what he cannot bring himself to do. After Kirk walked the sick Ali to her room, he asked “are they kissing?” five times.
I also had to wonder why Frank took the sick Ali out into the rain to get away from the others. Not cool.
Jim,
ReplyDeleteAgree with all your comments.
What did you think about the moment they showed with Justin the wrestler calling out Kasey for lying? I think they're just setting us up for what has been rumoured to come: that Justin is the bigger liar, having come on the show... wait for it... "the wrong reasons". Apparently, the tabloids and Reality Steve are all announcing that his girlfriend phones Ali sometime in the next few episodes.
I'd also be interested in what you think of Frank's effect on Ali. I see that she's attracted to him so I don't understand this whole storyline about his going back to his girlfriend. Some have said that he never even broke up with his girlfriend to come on the show; others say he is so insecure and frantic at seeing Ali with all these other men, that he yearns for his ex-girlfriend (and a one-on-one relationship) and asks to leave the show.
I've started to watch most of what goes on on this show with a bit of a jaundiced eye, I'm afraid.
M.
Here's an excerpt from an interview done by a former contestant on the show who reveals some of what goes on behind the scenes.
ReplyDelete“They manipulated the crap out of me. I like to follow rules, so I did everything they told me to. That was a big mistake. When you are in the moment, however, you don’t stop and think, “hmmm…how will this look on tv? How will they edit this?” So later, when it aired, I had plenty of “oh crap” moments!
For example, on one of my group dates, I said something I would NEVER say in real life. However, beforehand, a producer pulled me aside and asked if I would say it. When I refused, their response was, “well, if you don’t do it, then I will no longer give you one-on-one time with him, so he’ll probably end up sending you home since he won’t know you”. So…I did it.
They are VERY good at finding ways to get people to do things. Are you absolutely forced to do anything? No, but they have all of the power to harm you because of that (i.e. Not giving you one-on-one time, editing something to look a different way, etc).
There is NO handbook or “what to expect” class before going on this show. I had NO idea what I was walking in to. I just thought I was going on a tv show for the fun of it.In the moment, your mindset is very warped. You are living in a bubble, so it’s easy to get wrapped up in things.”
One more thing:
ReplyDeleteFrom a tabloid article (so perhaps to be taken with a grain of salt) about Frank:
Star magazine, June 17, 2010 12:15 PM
Ali Fedotowsky is being played by Frank Neuschaefer, one of her potential suitors on the show, and Star has the exclusive details about the woman Frank is two-timing Ali with.
Frank's love interest back home in Chicago is hazel-eyed stunner Nicole Caruso, 23. She's a 2009 graduate from Arizona State University and they met while both working in retail at a local mall.
When Frank was cast for The Bachelorette, the pair made a pact to keep their love a secret. In reality though, they've been a couple the entire time Frank's been on the ABC reality series!
Frank wants a screenwriting career, and he assured her that he was only going on The Bachelorette for the show business exposure," a friend of Nicole tells Star.
"This whole business about Frank wistfully longing for a former girlfriend seems like a sham. He and Nicole were rock-solid when he left for the show, and I believe they still are. He never had any interest in Ali."
Hey there,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see this place bumpin' again :)
M, fabulousness as always. Why didn't I get the memo that this week was Sing-Along-Songs week? Geez.
So quick question: How spoiled is everyone on this blog? Have you read all of the RS spoilers? Or are you all trying to figure it out solo? I don't want to ruin anything for non-spoiled peeps :)
Hey glad to see things are resurrected here on RP. Just came back from vacation and one of the first things I checked was your musings. As always AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd in answer to your question - I plan to "guard and protect" myself from spoilers. I want to see how this train wreck plays out.
My hope and yes I know everyone is tired of the "Brad" series. But my goodness can we just hope that Chris L is F2 and picked for next Bachelor. I would love to see him with more screen time. Although that said the Fliessmeister should just let him be as he is - a really normal wonderful guy (I think)
Until tomorrow night gang!!!
In an effort to keep it more interesting, I have been trying to avoid the spoilers too. Kinda fun to try and guess how they will all be manipulated next.
ReplyDeleteAnn
I too have avoided all spoilers, so references to future events are lost on me. I have almost no stake in the outcome. It's not easy to get worked up about who will do what. I don't have much to contribute about speculations or spoilers.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I will address the rumors that Frank is on the show to advance his career. Screenwriting is not name- or face-driven. How many can you name offhand? If Frank thinks he can break into the business by launching a national scandal, he doesn't know much about the business.
Also, Chicago is not the place to try to launch this career. Wannabes have few choices apart from LA or NY.
I'll respect the non-spoiled crowd here. It might seriously limit my posts so to not divulge the ending. I just can't take this crap seriously anymore :0
